Love doesn't need many ingredients (unknown) and neither do we.
We select the familiar and the unusual.
Each has its place in our gardens and paddocks, each adds its own magic.
We pick them once the dew has dried, steep them in tisanes, distill them gently with steam, extract via tincturing and warm infuse in oils.
We then mix carefully in steel and glass, as herbal alchemy transforms each herb from plant to healer.
OUR OILS, BUTTERS & WAXES
We choose a local, extra virgin olive oil and a crisp macadamia nut oil from the more humid climes of Northern NSW.
The luxurious cocoa, shea, coconut and mango butters we use are organic and grown sustainably in the tropical Pacific Islands.
And finally, the emulsifier that lovingly bonds aqueous with oil in the moisturisers and practical creams, is naturally derived from European olives.
Using oils gently warm-infused with our, freshly-dried herbs increases their effectiveness and adds natural fragrances.
Oil extractions maximise the oil-friendly aspects of herbs such as calendula, fennel and those rich in essential oils including lavender, rosemary and rose.
The subtle, sweet almond scent of Naticide, our vegetable based preservative from Sinerga in Italy, belies its potent anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity.
Gentle on skin, but effective against contamination, it has served our moisturisers and creams well for years.
This is one of the few preservatives where users can claim: 'preservative free'. On our labels it is "Parfum", its INCI compliant name.
